Jeff Downing

Jeff Downing grew up on a farm in Missouri. During High School and college he worked for area farmers after his family moved to Iowa. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University and shortly after began his insurance career with Prudential in Omaha Nebraska. His insurance career took him to companies such as Shelter Insurance, Liberty Mutual and Nationwide and to cities such as Chicago and Denver. He has also owned his own Independent Agency and after 20 years’ experience in the industry, he made the decision to move his family back to Nebraska and joined Farmers Union Midwest Agency as a manager in 2008 under Stan Brown. In 2013 Stan Brown retired and Jeff became the General Manager of Midwest Agency, LLP and the agency name of Farmers Union Midwest Agency (FUMA) evolved.

Jeff’s work and passion has been growing our Farmers Union Agency in both Kansas and Nebraska. We know that our FUMA Agency is unique in the fact that we are a hybrid of an insurance agency. We are the only representatives of the Farmers Union Insurance products in Kansas and Nebraska, but we also offer a variety of products from numerous companies to make sure that our customers are adequately cared for. We have a team of field managers and a regional office staff who have the sole responsibility of help our agents be successful in their endeavor to protect their customers and their communities.
