Sara Swackhamer

Sara Swackhamer grew up on a farm by Arlington, Nebraska. She then attended Cedar Bluffs high school and then attended Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, where she enjoyed playing golf in addition to her accounting studies. Sara began her insurance career in 2008 when she obtained her Property and Casualty license with the state of Nebraska. Through more education and study, sara has since obtained her life, health and annuities license as well as her crop license with the state of Nebraska. She also holds licenses in South Dakota as well as Iowa. Sara began her insurance career working in the captive agency field and then transitioned into a large commercial brokerage company. She became very well versed in personal lines as well as business insurance. In 2015, sara took over the agency in Howells and became educated in crop insurance where she continues to expand her knowledge of the subject.

She resides in Dodge, Nebraska with her husband Todd and three children, Annemarie, Autumn and Alex. They also have one rescue dog, Beau, and several foster and rescue cats and kittens.

Sara is the girls High School Bowling coach at Howells-Dodge Consolidated Schools where she is very active in her support of the booster clubs, volunteer efforts and fundraising. The Swackhamer family are fosters for a non-profit feline rescue group Catz Angels CARE, Inc. out of Fremont, Nebraska. Sara is a proud supporter of Howells Dodge FFA, Howells FCCLA, Howells Women’s club, Howells – Dodge Schools and Clarkson Public Schools and many other non-profit organizations.
