“OUR HOMETOWN” Crofton Nebraska

July 9, 2019

In our ongoing “Our Hometown” series, our next community is Crofton NE! https://crofton-nebraska.com/
Our cover page is a photo of the community at the Veterans Memorial.
Tucked in between prairie farmland and the chalkstone bluffs of Lewis & Clark Lake, Crofton is Northeast Nebraska’s hidden gem for outdoor adventure, colorful history, culture … and perhaps even a place to call home.
Modern day records show that there was trade between trappers and the Ponca Indians in 1789. In 1804, Lewis & Clark took five days to traverse the part of the Missouri River that lies just north of Crofton. In 1846, overland travelers, the Mormons, wintered near Crofton along the Niobrara River.
Do you know someone else who has Traversed the Crofton NE area? We do! Pam Caba is “Our Hometown” MRA Agent located in Crofton right on main street. Pam grew up in the community and started an agency for Midwest Regional Agency a number of years ago. As life does it took her away from her hometown, but when the opportunity came along for Pam to service the Insurance needs of her hometown, she jumped at it. Next time you are enjoying the many outdoor activities in the Crofton area, stop downtown and say HI to Pam!
